Picnic on the Playground!

Dear Parents,

We had two great weeks in class.  We spent time putting our portfolios together.  We can't wait for you to see them.  Your children have grown so much this year!

We celebrated Jonas's fourth birthday.  Happy Birthday Jonas!  Thank you to his family for the delicious treats.

We also decided to have a picnic on the playground since it was such a beautiful day.  The weather has finally changed!

We also would like to thank Hattie's grandmother, Mummy-ji, for reading a wonderful story to the class.

Some other areas of interest in our classroom.

We ended the week with a great concert, graduation, and outdoor picnic.  The children did an excellent job singing and playing instruments.  Thank you for contributing all the delicious food. Everything was scrumptious!

Love,

Ms. Bonne and Ms. Barbara

CAMPING IN THE CLASS!

Dear Parents,

Camping in the class was so much fun! We all sat around the campfire roasting "marshmallows," eating "s'mores " and singing campfire songs. We turned out the lights, used flashlights, and sang "Kumbaya" and "This little light of mine."

We made a campfire picture by making orange hand prints onto black paper and then adding paper logs, stars, and a moon.

We also made our own s'mores for snack.  Mmmmm, were they good!

We continued with our campfire unit by making adorable stick figure people.

Thank you for meeting with us during parent conferences and entrusting your beautiful children with us.

Reminders:

~Friday, June 5th at 9:30 Preschool Concert, Graduation, and Brunch.

~If you would like to contribute and food for the brunch, sign-up sheet is posted in the classroom.

~Friday, June 19th at 9:30, Father's Day Breakfast will be held  in   our classroom.

Love,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Dear Parents,

We had two great weeks preparing for our Mother's Day celebration.  We hope you liked your Mother's Day present that your child made for you.  First they practiced drawing the tulips on white paper.  They then water-colored the canvas and then wiped off the paint with a paper towel, to give it texture.  They drew three tulips with a pencil and then painted them using acrylic paint.  The children also made cards and decorated a gift bag.

This week we had a visit from "Lucky Bob" who did a phenomenal job doing magic tricks.  I don't know who laughed more, the children or the teachers.

Please stop by our room and look at your child's self portrait on our bulletin board.  The growth the children have made is amazing!

Please check out our new spring bulletin board.  The children did a great job painting flowers, butterflies and birds.

We hoped you enjoyed our Mother's Day celebration.  The children did a fantastic job singing.  We hope you tried the delicious chocolate chip banana bread muffins the children made.  Happy Mother's Day!

Love,

Ms. Bonne and Ms. Barbara
